Workout Wednesday – Or Not!

by DavalosMcCormack on November 11, 2009

This week Shirley and I were going to do a really cool piece about working out with babies using the fabulous Miss Emma Danger as our prop and the Flip camera to capture the action.

But by the time we had had dinner and given Emma D a bath, she was so relaxed and calm and it was getting close to bedtime so we thought the best thing we could exercise at this point was good judgement.

So, we put her to bed singing her a weird variety of lullabies and Irish songs such as “Delaney’s Donkey” and “Paddy McGinty’s Goat” made popular by the great singer Val Doonican (ok, Shirley sang the lullabies and I sang the Val Doonican songs) and it worked. She was so peaceful and calm and sweet, the end result was that both Shirley and I felt as relaxed as if we’d had a big workout and massage.

How do babies do that?
