Healthy and Simple Joke of the Day

by DavalosMcCormack on March 17, 2008

It was early Fall and the members of the tribe came up to their new chief and asked him what the winter was going to be like because they needed to know how much firewood to gather. The chief had grown up in town and didn’t know anything about ancient ways of predicting winter so he decided to play it safe and said it was going to be pretty cold and they should gather in some wood.

The next day he called up the Meteorological Office and asked them what the winter was going to be like. “We think it’s going to be pretty cold” they told him. So the next week when the members of the tribe came back and asked him if they had stored enough firewood he said “well, you know, I think just to be on the safe side we should gather more wood.”

While his members were out gathering wood he called the Meteorological Office again and asked if the prediction was still the same and they said “Oh, well now we think it might be a really cold one”.

When the members of tribe came back a week later and asked if they had enough firewood this time he said “I think it’s going to be even colder than I first thought so let’s go and get some more firewood”

Then after they were gone he called up the Meteorological Office again and asked what the winter was going to be like “We now think it’s going to be incredibly cold” they told him. “How do you know?” he asked. “Well, for a start the indians are collecting wood like crazy.”
